Description

Responsibilities Assists in communicating new statutes / guidelines, key information about risk control, governance standards for training and safety / quality Performance Improvement (PI) activities to clinical staff in order to improve services standards. Follows up and monitors the integration of clinical risk management, clinical audit and management of performance along side the Clinical and Non-Clinical Governance Manager. Assists in planning training activities for PHC clinical staff on leading practices for governance and risk management. Supports the Clinical and Non-Clinical Governance Manager in creating performance evaluation elements that Line Managers can use to assess clinical staff performance across their job descriptions. Supports the development of clinical governance guidelines, templates and measures that set standards for patient care. Supports the monitoring of clinical reported incidents, analysis of trends and production of related reports. Supports functional areas of case management and report management. Assists Clinical and Non-Clinical Governance Manager in preparing the annual report for the Performance & Quality Director. Liaises with the Clinical Informatics Coordinator to gather and analyse clinical governance data. Maintains records and reports of clinical governance activities related to clinical effectiveness, risk management and patient focus.
